Home Tea Classes

TeaSource is now offering tea education classes in the comfort of your own home. Home Tea classes are a perfect opportunity for you and your guests to sample an assortment of teas and learn the best ways to prepare loose-leaf tea.

As tea continues to grows in popularity, Home Tea classes will provide information on the basic categories of tea and preparation methods for loose-leaf teas. In addition to learning how to prepare hot tea, iced tea, and chai, we will discuss regions where tea is grown and how it is processed. A variety of teas will be prepared and sampled during the class and numerous others will be introduced. If you choose to host a tea class, you and your guests will get the added bonus of free shipping for all orders placed during the class.

There is a $25.00 charge for hosting a tea class. One or two of our tea representatives will come to your home prepared with tea, tea-making, and serving supplies. Questions and involvement are encouraged throughout the presentation. Due to the informal nature of the classes, presentation time varies, but usually lasts between 60-90 minutes. Home Tea classes must be booked at least three weeks in advance. TeaSource can provide invitations to the host/hostess for Home Tea classes upon request. We ask that the driving distance be no more than 1.5 hours from our retail locations and that guests RSVP. We require a minimum of six and a maximum of twelve attendees per class. A TeaSource representative will contact the host/hostess 48 hours prior to the class to verify attendance. Classes may be rescheduled at this time if there is a lack of confirmed guests.
