Assam, Gingia Esate, TGFOP, 2nd flush This is a wonderful full-bodied Assam black tea that steeps up a deep dark red and yields a tea liquor that is very hearty, with lots of that Assam black tea maltiness. This black tea will stand up nicely to milk and sugar (although it certainly doesn't need it). This Assam is not subtle, it has attitude. |

Assam, Hattialli Estate, 1st Flush, SFTGFOP1 This India black tea has wonderfully tippy and golden leaves with sweet malty notes of Assam. The steeped liquor is more delicate than many Assam teas (being a first flush), but this allows for greater nuance, complexity, and clarity in the cup. The cup delivers a flavor that is slightly sweet and malty, with some bright notes and a slight spiciness at the end. This is a good example of why Indian black tea is prized all around the world. |

TeaSource Assam, TGFOP This is a classic whole leaf (TGFOP) Assam black tea. The dry leaf yields a good percentage of golden tips and has a slightly sweet malty aroma. Rather shockingly we recommend steeping this tea at 8-9 minutes, it comes out very full-bodied, smooth, rich, malty, with just the tiniest bit of a bright note. |
