Ti Kwan Yin, Cubed The first time you see this tea your mouth will drop in wonder (and perhaps confusion), then you begin to smell the wonderful sweet floral aroma, and begin to see the beauty of the light green leaves that have been lovingly hand-processed and hand-pressed into these small cubes (1.5" square). Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong (Wulong) This is an absolutely wonderful Ti Kwan Yin style oolong from Fujian, China, done in the classic style. The modern trend is for Ti Kwan Yin to be a little sweeter and a little greener. This tea definitely has some sweetness, but that is perfectly balanced by just a tiny bit of baking of the leaf. The aroma and steeped liquor deliver a marvelous blend of sweet and toasty with a flavor reminiscent of roasted pine nuts. |
