Storing Tea

There are four things that can harm tea: air, light, moisture, or excessive heat. Therefore, store your tea in an air-tight, lightproof container away from moisture or heat. The black foil bags that your TeaSource tea comes in are good storage containers. As long as the zip seal is zipped tightly shut, a black foil bag is 99.9% airtight. Mason jars can also be good storage containers, as long as they are stored out of the light.

Be careful about storing you teas with your spices. Tea is extremely absorbent and will absorb the aromas of whatever is around it.
